MID-SILVER CHAMPIONSHIP at BADGEMORE PARK GC

QUARTER FINALS, SEMI FINALS and FINAL

In the quarter final round all the matches were close and lots of good golf was played. The result was 2 Studley Wood players and 2 Badgemore Park players progressing to the semi finals.

In the semi finals Sophie Stone (Studley Wood) and Lynda Lindsell (Studley Wood) had a good match but Sophie started brilliantly with 8 pars in the first 9 holes! Sophie is one of our County Junior players and a talent to keep an eye on! Sophie won 6/5.

Alison Wood (Badgemore Park) and Dorothy Arlett (Badgemore Park) had a close game but Dorothy just beat Alison by 4/2.

So the final was battled out by an exuberant County Junior and an experienced County Senior! The match was quite a tussle with experience looking like it was going to win. However Sophie sunk a long birdie putt, followed that hole with another birdie and went on to secure the victory.
