As a response to Tilly Magill breaking the course record and two Oxfordshire girls reaching the final of the Midlands South Championship held at The Oxfordshire (Monday, July 12-Wednesday July 14) The Oxford Mail sent along a photographer to capture the duo on film.

Freelance creative press/PR commercial photographer Mark Bassett (www.markbassett.co.uk email: mark@markbassett.co.uk) from Oxford attended and photographed Tilly and Jane after Tilly's semi-final victory over Jane but before Tilly competed in the final.

The photoshoot took place outside the clubhouse overlooking the ninth green.

Mark's photographs are not the typical press photography usually seen in newspapers. He strives to take pictures that are different from the norm and in doing so makes full use of vibrant colour. Our thanks to Mark for kindly sending a selection of the photos he took which are reproduced below.
