BRONZE CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING
at TADMARTON HEATH

A total of 42 players had to cope with very tricky conditions with the wind and gorse at Tadmarton Heath when the Bronze Quailfying round was played on Thursday, March 31.

Only two players broke a hundred – Julie Hodges from Kirtlington (handicap 22) shot a gross 97 and Dawn Torgersen from Oxford Ladies (handicap 26) with a gross 99. But defending Champion Scilla Dudding from Oxford Ladies (handicap 21) had a hole in one on the 10th to help her on her way to the knock out rounds with a gross 104.

Mandy Reid from Bicester, with a handicap of 32, shot a gross 104 to qualify as one of the top eight gross scores, but also won the Bronze Medal with the best nett score of 72.

The players with the top eight gross scores go on to play the scratch matchplay knock out rounds at Burford Golf Club on April 13 and 14.
