Oxfordshire win 5½-3½What an exciting day! Cold, bright and windy conditions prevailed all day. In the morning foursomes Sam and Tilly got off to a fast start with a great 7&6 win, with Kath and Abi adding another point to leave us just ahead going into the afternoon. The majority of the singles matches were very close, leading to a nail-biting afternoon for the spectators. Abi posted an early win, followed by Kath so we just needed one more point. Sam went up the 18th 1 down but secured a vital half with a 25 foot birdie putt, leaving Gemma to gain a well deserved win on the 18th 1up, giving us our first ever win against Warwickshire. The team is upbeat and looking forward to tomorrow – a win against Buckinghamshire and other results falling our way would see our first County Match Week win ever.
