BB&O Girls v BB&O Boys U14 & Boys U16

Sophie Stone (Magolia Park/Studley Wood, 7hpc) and Imogen Vessey (Chipping Norton 9hcp) represented Oxfordshire in the BB&O Girls v BB&O Boys match.  They were joined by two Berkshire Girls & two Buckinghamshire girls.

The match took place at Gerrards Cross Golf Club on Sunday 2nd October.

The day was extremely hot and the girls found it tough going.  We managed to negotiate full handicap difference for the girls plus the 3 shots difference between course pars for boys & girls.

This 3 way match is a complicated format for the girls but they managed well, Sophie won against her U16 opponent & lost against the U 14 boy.  Imogen won against her lost against her U16 opponent & halved against the U 14 boy.  Overall the girls beat the U16 boys 5-1 & lost to the U14 boys 4.5-1.5

The final result was  a win for the U 14 boys with 8.5 wins, the girls had 6.5 wins & the U16 boys had 3 wins .
