Our second match of the season saw us meet up at a very windy Chipping Norton – the course was in fantastic condition.

The morning foursomes saw the Frilford partnership of Kate Evans & Liz McPhail beating Paula Bargewell & Kath Ashley 3/2. Annie Gowing & Sarah Amos beat Bobbi Waugh & Skye Furnance 2/1. Oxfordshire went into the afternoon singles well placed at 2 – 1.

The afternoon singles proved to be extremely close with 4 matches that could have gone either way. Caroline Johnson playing at her home course of Chipping Norton got off to a flying start being 2 under par and 5 up after just 5 holes. Caroline played superb golf beating Paula Bargewell 7/5. Kate Evans won the 18th hole gaining a much needed half. Annie Gowing played very steadily winning against Bobbi Waugh 4/3. Against a very strong Warwickshire team the match was halved.
