Abi Laker cuts her handicap by two shots
Congratulations to Abi Laker for winning the Burford Junior Open on 23rd July with a gross score of 79 in the morning and gross 73 in the afternoon, resulting in her handicap reducing from 8.3 to 6.3.

Lauren makes the Faldo Series Finals
Watch out for Lauren's results on the faldo series website on 18th and 19th August.

Tilly Holder moves into Top 20 of the Order of Merit
Tilly Holder's season is getting better and better. After winning the Pleasington Putter in July, then making the semi-finals of the SE Divisional Championships, she's now finished in 2nd place in Porters Park, only losing to Kerry Smith by two shots. Tilly produced rounds of 2 under and 1 under, where as Kerry shot rounds of 1 over and 6 under. Tilly nows goes on to play in the British Mid-Amateur this week at Wallasey.

Katherine's star performances in the Girls Home Internationals
Following Katherine's great result in the Welsh Girls Championships, she travelled straight onto Panmure for the Girls Home Internationals that took place on 5th, 6th and 7th August. Even though Wales didn't feature in the winners circle, Katherine's individual performances were fantastic, resulted in her being the top points scorer for the team. Katherine won her foursomes and singles matches against Scotland, won her foursomes and halved her singles against Ireland and lost her foursomes on the last against England, but won her singles. Resulting overall in 4 1/2 points out of a possible 6 points.
Katherine O'Connor retains her Welsh Strokeplay Title
Katherine has successfully retained the Welsh Girls Strokeplay Title with gross scores of 79 and 71 (150) to win by 3 shots from Amy Boulden of Maesddu. Laura Watkins finished in 9th place, with a gross score of 161. In the knockout stages, where the top 16 qualify, Katherine then went on to beat Victoria Davies (7&6), Laura Watkins (5&4), Kelly Miller (2&1) only to lose to Amy Boulden in the final of the Welsh Girls Championships (1 down).
Lauren Jupp reaches Faldo Finals
Lauren Jupp from Studley Wood has recently qualified for the finals of the Faldo Series by finishing 2nd at The Berkshire and 3rd at Brocket Hall.
Tilly's great form continues
Tilly Holder has had a fabulous two months with a victory in the Pleasington Putter in Blackburn with two rounds totalling four under par, third place in the Bridget Jackson Bowl at Handsworth, nr Birmingham and finally a semi-final finish in the SE Divisional Championships at Chipping Norton. These results put Tilly well into the top 20 in the Order of Merit rankings.
European Girls Team Championships
Katherine finished tied 39th out of 76 in the European Girls Team Championships at Murcar with scores of 78 & 75. In the matchplay stages, she played in all of the foursomes and singles matches, winning 2 of her 3 foursomes but losing her singles matches. A couple of narrow defeats, 1 down and the other 2&1. Unfortunately Wales didn't win any of their singles matches and finished 16th out of the 19 countries involved. This was an improvement on 19th last year but they did finish ahead of the favourites, Scotland, who were 17th.
Daily Telegraph Junior Championship
Katherine leads the Girls Section of the Daily Telegraph Junior Championship with a 2 under par score.
