The final of the Bamberger knock out trophy was played in glorious sunshine at Chipping Norton GC on Saturday 7th November. The 2 finalists were Tracy Roberts (Oxford Ladies) handicap 17, and Dawn Stanhope (The Wychwood) handicap 24.
Tracy got off to a flying start and was 3 up after 4 holes – including a birdie 2 on the Par 3 3rd. However Dawn played very steadily and managed to get the match back to all square after 12 holes. Tracy eventually went on to win the Bamberger Trophy 4 and 2. It was a terrific final played in good but keen competitive spirit. Well played to both Tracy and Dawn. |
