Oxfordshire Ladies win Inter-County
Senior Team Championship

OXFORDSHIRE’S ladies won the regional Inter-County Seniors Team Championship after a dominant display on Frilford Heath’s Red Course.

Annie Gowing, Kate Evans, Angela Reeves and Judy McCairns, all Frilford members, used their local knowledge to full effect against ten teams from the south east.

Gowing and Reeves carded rounds of 80, while Evans shot a 77 to complete a total of 237, with three scores to count. Sussex finished second on 245.

McCairns had to withdraw due to injury after nine holes.
