89 Ladies played for the Seniors Cup at Kirtlington Golf Club on 12 October in
ideal Autumn weather. Loretta Tonna from Studley Wood Golf Club was a clear
winner with 43 Stableford points winning both the Seniors Cup and the Crawley
Cup for the best score returned by a Bronze division player. Loretta's handicap
at the start of the day was 21, although after her exceptional round, she will
now be in the Silver Division. The runner up was Jackie Wilson (handicap 25)
with a score of 38 points and also from Studley Wood. In third place was
Tricia Rawlings (handicap 19) from Oxford Ladies with a score of 37 points.
Fourth and fifth were Margaret Chaundy (14) and Gill Buck (20) on count back
from Colleen Madge (25) all with 35 points and all from Frilford Heath.
The front nine prize was won by Patricia Meyer from Studley Wood with 21 points
and the best back nine prize went to Christine Jones on count back from
Nicola Barclay-Watt, both from Frilford Heath and both with scores of 19 points.
