Defence Academy Golf Club

The Defence Academy Golf Club was established in 1956 and is situated within the confines of the Defence Academy.

The golf club is for members-only however, guests can come and play when accompanied by a member. The club hosts at least two competitions each month and is ideally designed and constructed to accommodate both beginners as well as professionals.

The club has separate sections for juniors, seniors and ladies for quality game play for golfers of all ages and standards. Ladies have priority every Tuesday morning as well as Sunday Roll-ups and special events and lessons.

The Golf Course(s)

The golf course is 5,684 yards, 18 holes and par 70 and it offers a devious combination of holes that makes each one uniquely challenging. The course consists of mature trees, strategically placed bunkers and other hazards which also makes the play interesting and challenging.

The club holds prestigious competitions like the Club Championship that are open to all players that have an official handicap.

Membership Information

The club membership comprises of Defence Academy personnel and students as well as members of the local community. The club offers numerous membership options for juniors, students, male, seniors and ladies. Membership options include:

  • Adult 7 day membership
  • 5 day membership
  • Student 19-23 membership
  • Junior membership
  • 16-18 membership
  • Junior 12-15 membership
  • Under 12 are free – if they are a dependent of a member
  • Spouse/partner membership
  •  

Memberships include full club membership as well as course membership. The 5 day membership is only available to those who live away from the Defence Academy at weekends.
