Ann Starkey Inter-Club Trophy

Foursomes match-play knockout played off scratch. Teams of 6, handicap index 20.5 or above

Conditions of entry

• Entry is made by Club via the Club Delegate before 1 November for the following year
• Competition is for teams of six Full or Associate Members of Oxon affiliated Clubs with a handicap index of 20.5 or above 7 days prior to each match.
• Format is foursomes, scratch, match-play knockout played off scratch.
• The draw will be made after the closing date of entries
• It is the equal responsibility of both Clubs to arrange their matches by the due date. The Home club must offer dates including at least one at the weekend and one during the week. Evening matches should be considered if working ladies are unavailable during the daytime.
• The venue for each round will be decided by the draw.
• The winning club is responsible for promptly notifying the County Assistant Competition Secretary of the result by e-mail (compassist.olcga@gmail.com)
• If a player is a member of two Oxfordshire Clubs, she may represent her ‘Home’ Club only
• All individual matches must be played to a conclusion (i.e. no halved matches)
• The semi-final and final are played on a specified date at a venue arranged by the County. This may end up being the home course of one of the finalists, but that is the luck, or bad luck, of a knockout draw.
• Squads for the semi-final and final may consist of a maximum of 8 players
• The winning team will be presented with the Ann Starkey Inter-Club Trophy
• If players wish to use buggies, they must arrange the rental with the host club.
• On Finals Day OLCGA will reserve an equal number of buggies for each team, but if used they must be paid for by the players.
