Huntercombe Golf Club
Huntercombe Golf Club was opened in 1901 and very little has changed to the inland golf course since its opening over a century ago. The golf club is located 700 feet above sea-level and is located in Nuffield, Oxfordshire. The golf club offers a well-stocked clubhouse and is open for members as well as visitors.
If you are looking for some challenging, old-fashioned golf, then Huntercombe Golf Club is fully equipped with natural beauty and a challenging parkland course to satisfy the golfing needs of golfers of all standards.
The Golf Course(s)
Huntercombe offers a 18 hole, par 70 golf course spread over an area of 6,301 yards that has been called “respectfully old-fashioned” by Bernard Darwin.
The club was originally a heath land course but the fairways now consist of mature trees and a well-maintained woodland. The bluebells in the Spring are an added peril. Apart from that, the golf course maintains the same charm and appeal it did over a century ago. There are relatively few bunkers and plenty of gorse with strategically placed grass pots. The contouring greens offer a challenging play for golfers of all standards.
