At the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 6th October 2025, Member Clubs unanimously agreed that the Association should engage Emily Green (Sports Governance Solutions) to guide us through the process of incorporation.
Since then, the Sub Committee has been working closely with Emily to review our governance arrangements and develop a modern legal and constitutional framework that will support the Association well into the future.
This work has included a thorough review of our current Constitution, consideration of governance best practice, and the preparation of proposed Articles of Association and Rules that reflect both the needs of the Association and the interests of our Member Clubs.
Clubs were updated at the most recent CD meeting on 20th April, with relevant documents circulated before that meeting.
As a result of this work, an Extraordinary General Meeting has now been arranged for Thursday, 30th July 2026 via Zoom at 7pm, at which Member Clubs will be asked to consider and vote on the following resolutions:
- To adopt the proposed Articles of Association
- To adopt the proposed Rules of the Association
- To agree the appointment of the Directors listed for the Incorporation inception dates
- To agree that Clubs become Voting Members of the OWG Ltd
This will allow the current officers to proceed with the set-up of OWG Ltd. During the same EGM Member Clubs will also be asked to consider and vote on the following additional resolutions:
- To approve the transfer of OLCGA into OWG Ltd (at such a time as the new company is set up, estimated to be 8-12 weeks from the EGM)
- To approve the winding up of OLCGA (once assets have been transferred into OWG Ltd)
FINAL versions of the proposed Articles of Association, the Rules, and supporting papers previously circulated can be viewed at the top of this page.
We encourage you to review these documents carefully and discuss them with your club committee, where appropriate, before attending the EGM.
If you have any questions ahead of the EGM, please contact County President Christine Bishop
