OVERALL MATCH RESULT: OXON 3 BERKS 6
OLCGA second 2nd team league match was held at Henley Golf Club on a sunny and warm day
Berkshire started the day strongly winning all of their foursomes matches. Frustratingly, the
momentum in the final holes of the last match was in Oxfordshire’s favour, but the birdie required
on the last was not forthcoming!
Oxfordshire pulled themselves together in the singles matches and won convincingly in 3 matches;
congratulations to Freya, Sarah and Lydia for their victories. Caroline had a tough battle against
Bella (+2) and Oxfordshire had been up in the other 2 matches but Berkshire had a strong finish
Henley GC was in excellent condition and received a lot of compliments for the playing conditions
and for their hospitality to both teams
The South Midlands final will be played at Badgemore Park GC on Thursday 11th August
