Nicola Sparks Memorial Junior Trophy & announcement of the new Junior Captain for 2025

Burford Golf Club hosted the annual Nicola Sparks Memorial Junior Trophy at the end of October. Nicola passed away in 2007 and the competition was established in her memory – she was a talented golfer who represented her club and County many times, being crowned County Champion 5 times and was also County Captain. Oxfordshire Girls win Vs Gloucestershire Girls Friendly

Sunday 6th October saw a friendly match played at Henley Golf Club, Oxfordshire Girls versus Gloucestershire Girls. It was a drizzly wet day, but the course was amazingly immaculate. Well done Henley groundsmen!All the girls played incredibly - hitting, chipping and putting flawlessly. It was a real treat to watch. Oxfordshire Girls won 2-1. Well done to all that played - great golf!

Oxon County Junior Girls win second trophy in a week!

After beating both Berkshire and Buckinghamshire earlier in the summer, the Oxon Girls won the right to represent the ‘south’ of the Midland South Region in the Handicap final, which was held this year at Flackwell Heath Golf Club on 27th August. The 2024 Midland South Team Stableford competition was held at a very wet and windy Goring & Streatley Golf Club this year on 22nd August. For this event each County fields a team of 6 girls, with the best 4 stableford scores (based on present handicap) making up the Team’s total points.After some fantastic scoring despite the weather conditions Oxfordshire were tied with Berkshire for first place. In the annual handicap match versus Berkshire, our county girls played admirably. Led out by captain Phoebe on a Hadden Hill course looking splendid in the sunshine, Oxfordshire won comfortably in 3 matches and the overall score was 4-1. The BB&O Girls Championship and Oxfordshire Girls Championship 2024 took place on Wednesday 10th April at Badgemore Park Golf Club.
