CMW Day 3 AM vs Northamptonshire

Northamptonshire we're going well this year and with half their squad playing on their own course this was going to be a big ask.

The foursomes lead out the team with enthusiasm but found the Northamptonshire pairs a little too strong on this occasion. Kate Evans led out the singles and had a cracking match that went to the 16th. Freya Coughlan a debutant to the squad took on a very talented plus golfer and battled all the way to the 15th sinking a 15ft putt to make par but Bailey Pyke made birdie to take the match. Millie Anderson was on superb form, chipping and single putting all morning including an impossible wedge shot out of long grass to 2ft to make par. She came out a worthy winner 6 & 5.

Although Oxfordshire finished in 6th place this year the squad have gained invaluable experience to take forward to 2022. Well done everyone, a great challenge played in superb spirit.
