February County Squad Training Update

On an extremely wet and cold Sunday morning, the first County Training session of the year attracted strong attendance.

It was the first of three in-person sessions this year with our new County Coach Deana Rushworth (Witney Lakes). Having worked remotely with the squad since October, setting us drills and challenges, and monitoring our resulting data, Deana chose to take us through a set of exercises on the range, followed by a short-game session on the chipping area.

From there we moved inside (after drying off) and spent an hour and a half focusing on how to practice and prepare for the season ahead. This month and into next, we are being asked to record on course data using an interesting visual schema, and undertake a 4ft, 6ft, 8ft putting drill.

We all share our results with Deana, and across the squad, every month using the CoachNow app. It is motivating and encouraging to share successes, and struggles, with everyone and see such positive engagement and progress across the Oxfordshire squad.
