Oxfordshire Girls Maintain Their Unbeaten Record!!

Sunday the 19th of March saw the 8th annual match between Oxfordshire County Junior girls and Kirtlington and Tadmarton boys, held at Tadmarton GC this year. It was brilliant to see so many people involved, with 5 pairs matches taking to the tee. It was a bit of a chilly start, but the weather was relatively kind, and the course was in really nice condition, especially for this time of year. The girls pairs were a great mix of more experienced players, and those newer to the match play situation, which proved to be a huge success. There was some brilliant golf played, and lots of well fought matches, resulting in a 4-1 win for the Oxfordshire County Junior girls. This continued an unbroken streak of wins for the girls and whilst the boys were unable to gain a victory this time they were worthy opponents and very gracious in defeat. We look forward to next years match. I would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone involved in organising and playing this fixture and especially to Ellie, who despite injury still came along to support our team.
