Oxfordshire took on Berkshire at Castle Royle in the second 2nd Team league match of 2021. Freya & Maggie led the way in the foursomes with a great 2&1 victory over Jane Brackenbury and Chloe Walkington. Tracey & Nikki fought the whole way and unfortunately came up against Sonya Singh & Yvonne Craven who won 3&2. Clare & Karen played well and we're up at the turn however Emily Shaw & Bella Kent used their home advantage on the back nine to win the match.

With Berkshire taking a 2-1 lead after the first round, Oxfordshire went out determined for victory. Freya went out first against Emily who didn't make a mistake and chipped in on 15 to win 4&3. Maggie played against Bella who's short game was on fire and again chipped in on 16 to win 4&2. Clare came up against a tough opponent who quickly came out the blocks and played some phenomenal golf including yet again another chip in! Tracey played some steady golf however not feeling 100% she lost 3&2 against Jane. Nikki went out next and had a great game against Sally Collier, after 7 holes halved on the front nine it was A/S heading into the back nine. The battle continued and went all the way to 18 where a friendly half was recorded. Karen went out last against Yvonne and played great golf, with the match being close after 9 Karen stepped it up to win 3&2 - a great win!
