Shape the Future of the Fairways: Women & Girls Golf Development Officer
20 April, 2026
Golf in Oxfordshire is evolving, and we are looking for a Women & Girls Golf Development Officer to lead the charge. This is a critical, stipend-supported role for a strategic thinker who believes that golf is for everyone, regardless of age or ability.
The Role in a Nutshell
You will be the architect of growth for the female game across the county. This isn't just about promotion; it’s about creating a legacy by connecting the school gates to the 18th green.
- The Goal: Drive participation and grow the sport at the grassroots and county levels.
- The Network: Collaborate with golf clubs, PGA professionals, schools, and community organisations.
- The Impact: Design and deliver inclusive pathways that ensure women and girls of all ages feel the clubhouse is their home.
Your Key Priorities
- Strategy & Growth: Create and implement targeted plans to boost participation, with a focus on junior development, beginner "Get into Golf" programmes, and retention of existing players.
- Club Advocacy: Liaise with Oxfordshire clubs to support their junior sections, providing guidance on coaching and help with attracting new members.
- Stakeholder Synergy: Partner with PGA Professionals to align coaching with county goals, and work with schools and the Golf Foundation to introduce the game to a younger, more diverse audience.
- Funding & Sustainability: Identify and secure funding or grants to fuel your development initiatives.
- Impact Tracking: Monitor and evaluate programme success using agreed KPIs to ensure we are delivering real value to the county’s golfers.
Why This Role?
As a key figure in the OLCGA, you will help us Connect, Compete, and Cultivate. You won't just be managing the status quo; you’ll be shaping the future of golf at a local level, ensuring the sport remains vibrant and accessible for generations to come.
