It was a chilly start for the morning foursomes at Castle Royle and despite Oxfordshire's best efforts it appeared that Berkshire warmed up a little faster than Oxfordshire.

Home advantage paid dividends for the home team. The highlight of the morning was a halved match by Emma Whiteley and Lara Murphy leaving the scores 2.5 to 0.5

There are 76 Bunkers on the course at Castle Royle, and it is fair to say they came into play throughout the day, however the afternoon singles proved more fruitful with great wins for Megan Bishop, Lydia Avann and Nikki Halsall to make the afternoon score 3 all.

Overall a win for Berkshire 5.5 to 3.5 and some valuable experience for all, but especially for those heading towards County Match Week in June.
