The annual County Shield competition was held at Tadmarton Heath Golf Club on Monday 24th June. An enforced player withdrawal overnight saw an early breakfast discussion of how best to reconfigure the day's team. It meant a final new foursomes pairing was introduced, and despite the last minute changes the team took everything in their stride producing a set of really close and well contested matches. This year’s Midlands South County Week is being held at Fulford Heath Golf Club just outside Birmingham. In the annual handicap match versus Berkshire, our county girls played admirably. Led out by captain Phoebe on a Hadden Hill course looking splendid in the sunshine, Oxfordshire won comfortably in 3 matches and the overall score was 4-1. An outstanding win, well done girls!The next match is against Buckinghamshire on Sunday 23rd June at Oakland Park. 

On Wednesday 8th May 2024, Bicester Golf Club hosted the OLCGA's Spring 3 Ball Alliance. 24 ladies enjoyed the opportunity to try Bicester’s newly revamped 9 hole course and realised it is not so easy to go round twice! The winning team of Maureen Rhymes, Lorraine Watkins and Susan White (North Oxford, above) scored 74 points in the stableford, 2-to-count format. On a lovely dry and sunny day that hopefully signals the start of spring 2024, Frilford Heath Golf Club hosted the county's annual Centenary Trophy competition. The par-70 Green course was in great condition considering the winter we have all endured. In April we have had two friendly matches completed, as warm up to County Match Week. Match v Hampshire The match took place at North Hants GC on 24th March and consisted of 2 x Foursomes and 3 x singles. Hampshire are traditionally very strong opposition with the majority of the team being either plus, scratch or low single figure handicaps. The BB&O Girls Championship and Oxfordshire Girls Championship 2024 took place on Wednesday 10th April at Badgemore Park Golf Club.
