On a lovely dry and sunny day that hopefully signals the start of spring 2024, Frilford Heath Golf Club hosted the county's annual Centenary Trophy competition. The par-70 Green course was in great condition considering the winter we have all endured. Caroline wins the Centenary Trophy

On an amazingly sunny & warm October day at Badgemore Park GC, Caroline Johnson from Tadmarton Heath won OLCGA's Centenary Trophy with a gross score of 81. Elizabeth Ball from Frilford Heath, was second with 84 and Henley's Sarah Hillas finished 3rd with 85. Best Nett was Sarah Clarke from Hadden Hill with a score of 77, closely followed in second place by Caroline Pearce from Frilford Heath who scored 78.

The unseasonal tropical heatwave had fortunately departed, but the sun still shone at The Wychwood today for our Autumn 3-Ball Alliance. The Finals Day for the Captain's Trophy Interclub Knockout competition was played at Drayton Park GC on one of the hottest days of this year. After an exhausting two rounds of golf, the team from Frilford Heath (sitting on the right) emerged victorious as winners of the OLCGA President's Trophy 2023. The Bronze team from Tadmarton Heath GC, captained by Judy Hughes, collected the Ann Starkey Trophy today by winning against Oxford Ladies GC in the morning semi-final and 2-1 against Frilford Heath GC in the afternoon final. Near perfect conditions for golf resulted in some very good scores at Witney Lakes today with 18 teams competing for the County Shield over 27 holes. Fortunately, there were no thunder storms at Kirtlington GC today for our Spring 3-ball Alliance. Many thanks to the Golf Club for being such a welcoming host and our gratitude to Elaine, Sandra and Josh for their help at registration.
