The Finals Day for the Captain's Trophy Interclub Knockout competition was played at Drayton Park GC on one of the hottest days of this year. After an exhausting two rounds of golf, the team from Frilford Heath (sitting on the right) emerged victorious as winners of the OLCGA President's Trophy 2023. The Bronze team from Tadmarton Heath GC, captained by Judy Hughes, collected the Ann Starkey Trophy today by winning against Oxford Ladies GC in the morning semi-final and 2-1 against Frilford Heath GC in the afternoon final. County Shield 2023

Near perfect conditions for golf resulted in some very good scores at Witney Lakes today with 18 teams competing for the County Shield over 27 holes. Oxfordshire hosted the Midlands South Seniors' Championship at North Oxford Golf Club today. Conditions were good, the sun appeared, the temperature rose and the course proved to be a real test of golf. Fortunately, there were no thunder storms at Kirtlington GC today for our Spring 3-ball Alliance. Many thanks to the Golf Club for being such a welcoming host and our gratitude to Elaine, Sandra and Josh for their help at registration. 1st team victory vs Wiltshire @ Henley Golf Club Sunday 7th May

The 1st team pulled off a resounding victory, and their second win of the season, against Wiltshire County on Sunday 7th May at Henley Golf Club. The scores were level after the morning foursomes with the new pairing of Kate Evans and Mairi Weir bringing in a winning point. The sun came out in the afternoon for the singles and OLCGA won 4 out of the 6 matches against stiff competition. Thank you for all of the support both in person and on-line - the team really appreciates it!

Despite heavy overnight rain, day 2 of the Bronze Championships saw the four semi-finalists play in the morning. The course, at Studley Wood, held up well with the sun shining through for the final match in the afternoon. This proved to be a close fought match with Julie Wong holding on to win the final against Madeleine Deller. Congratulations to Julie on her winning her first major cup.

Day 1 of the Bronze Championships was held today at Studley Wood golf course. Sunny day but still some soggy conditions after overnight rain made it a challenge for all.Match play pairings for Friday have Madeleine Deller v Fiona Ives and Brenda Stevens v Julie Wong. First tee off is at 9.30am. The winners play in a final match at 2.20pm.The Bronze Medal for the Best Nett was won by Fiona Ives.
